It is also important to integrate vegetables and fruits into your diet, as they also contain high levels of fiber.

Salted foods
The sodium found in salt can cause a rise in blood pressure, which can cause swelling in the afflicted area. It is best to avoid salty foods to keep the hemorrhoids at a smaller size. Avoid such salty foods like French fries, potato chips, pretzels, popcorn, and peanuts. If there is a high level of salt to be found within the food, it is best avoided.

Alcohol

Food with saturated fats
The blood flow in and around the hemorrhoid area may be decreased by foods with high levels of saturated fats, which are best to avoid, as a lack of blood flow can cause further swelling and inflammation. Foods with saturated fats include such meats as dark-meat chicken, beef, lamb, and pork. Make an effort to avoid saturated fats in an effort to decrease the hemorrhoid symptoms.
