Advanced Non-Surgical Treatments – Pasadena Hemorrhoids

Less than 5% hemorrhoids require surgery,
so talk to a doctor about your conservative treatment options.

Possible NON-SURGICAL hemorrhoid treatments include:

HET – Heat Therapy

  • Consistent compression
  • Low treatment temperatures

  • Non-surgical technique
  • Quick recovery turnaround

  • Treatment of all hemorrhoids
  • Low treatment temperature

The HET™ Bipolar System is a proprietary technology that allows for the gentle, simple, and effective treatment of all symptomatic grades I and II hemorrhoids in a single procedure. The treatment targets the area above the dentate line, and its low treatment temperature minimizes collateral tissue damage.

Hemorrhoid energy therapy using the HET™ bipolar system is an efficient procedure with minimal pain to the patient.

New Advanced Hemorrhoid Treatments:

Rubber Band Ligation

This simple office based procedure is done without need for anesthesia and uses tiny rubber bands to shrink hemorrhoidal veins and tack up droopy hemorrhoidal tissue.
Rubber band ligation is the most widely used treatment for internal hemorrhoids. If symptoms persist after three or four treatments, surgery may be considered.

Rubber band ligation cannot be used if there is not enough tissue to pull into the banding device. This procedure is almost never appropriate for fourth-degree hemorrhoids.

THD Treatment – Incisionless!

  • No Incision – THD is INCISION-LESS so there is less pain when recovering.
  • Same-Day Outpatient Procedure – Patients GO HOME within a few hours after the treatment.
  • Fast Recovery – In some cases, recovery time can be LESS THAN 5 DAYS.*
  • Easy Process – Our specialists and staff are committed to making your TREATMENT as EASY and CONVENIENT as possible.

THD Hemorrhoid Treatment

THD uses Doppler guidance to locate the end branches of the arteries leading to the hemorrhoid. Once the arteries are located, absorbable sutures are used to tie-off the blood flow. No more blood can flow into the hemorrhoid and the vein remains intact so blood can still flow out. This allows the swollen tissue to shrink. The entire procedure is completed without excision of tissue. If necessary the surgeon will perform a hemorrhoidopexy to repair the prolapse, but again, this is done with suture and no excision of tissue. THD restores prolapsed tissue back to its proper anatomical position

Don’t Wait!

** If left untreated, not only do hemorrhoids get worse over time, but they also become harder to treat. A hemorrhoid that can easily be banded could eventually require surgery if not treated properly. Consulting a properly trained doctor is also important because hemorrhoid-like symptoms can be caused by more serious underlying gastrointestinal problems. If you have re-occurring hemorrhoid-like symptoms, you should consult a doctor to determine if you should be screened for cancer or have a colonoscopy. Adults over the age of 50 should typically get one at least every ten years. If your family has a history of GI issues, you should get one more frequently.
